Your dog will stay at ABBDT for five days, during this time he or she will be taught to understand the transitional leash and become accustomed to it. After the five day period you and your dog will begin the first of four, sixty minute private sessions. In these sessions we will continue to build upon your dogs leash walking skills and train you in how to guide your dog through a variety of environments. This program runs Monday through Friday and is available to dogs meeting behavioral criteria, in the Austin area. Private sessions may be in your neighborhood and parks based upon your preference.
Your dog will learn ON and OFF Leash Obedience skills, practice social skills with dogs and people, while learning necessary life skills. This program is intended for dogs needing obedience and minor behavior modification.
Your pup will learn to walk nicely on leash, wait at doorways and other points of exit, this is very important for both your dog’s physical safety and owner peace of mind. Your dog will also learn to ride well in a car, happily behave at public parks, malls and stores as well as walks around the neighborhood.
Your dog will learn to come when called off leash, providing an outlet for you to fulfill and enjoy your dog. Creating good decision-making skills in your pup. Upon enrollment we will discuss several other obedience skill options from which you may choose to fit your individual needs. Additionally, your dog will be taught to “pay attention to their instructor (YOU), stay close off leash, slow down and move with you on command.” All setting the foundation for a dog who pays attention to their person and is enjoyable to be with. This Program includes a Professional Dog Training walking leash and collar as well as a top of the line Professional Ecollar. Five follow up owner training sessions and unlimited phone support are included. All sessions must be completed within 12 months following the Board & Train.
