VaccinationsDogs must be current on all age appropriate vaccinations (DHLPP, Rabies, Lepto) to be on ABBDT property. We will gladly accept Titer test results as allowed by the state.
Spayed/NeuteredYour dog does NOT have to be spayed or neutered to attend training, in most cases. However we will not intake females while in heat. If your dog goes into heat near her training date please let us know and we will reschedule for 14 days after the anticipated conclusion of her cycle.
Pick Up/Drop OffYou will have the choice of bringing your dog to our home or having us pick your dog up. Pick up is complimentary within 30 miles for 28 day and over stays. Other arrangements can always be made if needed for pick up options.
If dropping off please arrive on time. Should you be delayed please let us know as soon as possible. When you arrive please text us and we will come out to greet you and your dog. Dogs MUST be on leash from the time they exit your vehicle. What to PackDuring your dogs stay please provide food, monthly preventative medication/treatments and any necessary medications with instructions for the duration of your dog’s stay.
You may bring favorite dog treats or EDIBLE chews for your dog to enjoy. Examples - bully sticks, chicken feet, greenies, etc. Dogs may not have rawhide's, easily destroyed toys and or chews Dog FoodDogs in our programs must be using a 4 or 5 star rated dog food.
PLEASE bring kibble in a labeled container or bin. Raw dog food must be brought in prepackaged rations. We are unable to make or mix raw in house. If feeding raw please give us ample notice prior to your dogs arrival. Please provide more dog food than normally required as your dog will be very active during their stay. We will feed to match your dogs age, development stage, activity level and metabolism. Please do expect your pup to be slightly slimmer and reasonably fit if staying for longer programs. Should you be unable to bring food we are happy to provide our house kibble: Fromm Gold or Natures Logic at an additional charge. Small dogs are $5.00 a day while Large dogs are $10.00 per day. We will ProvideWe will provide crates, bedding, bowls and other items to keep your dog comfortable while here.
Music is played during crated downtime. Photography and Social MediaBy enrolling your dog in our training programs you give your permission for their photos and videos to be posted on all social media pages and used on our website.

How is my Dog doing!?Specific updates should be anticipated Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as well as awesome milestone moments.
A pre-scheduled weekly review will be given once a week by phone or email, based on your preference. Please think about what time you will be available ( M-F) to hear about your dogs week. Additional InformationPLEASE COMPLETE THE APPLICATION IN ITS ENTIRETY AND email back to [email protected] with vet paperwork showing current rabies, distemper/parvovirus vaccines along with a negative fecal test from within the last 12 months for all Board and Trains. All in-person clients (including private sessions) require rabies vaccine paperwork. Paperwork reflecting Titer results will be accepted in accordance with Texas law in place of a shot record for rabies. These papers can be submitted in PDF or JPG format on the separate form for your dog's information. If training multiple dogs, you only need to submit one form. All Board and Train services require a 50% deposit due at time of booking. The remaining balance is due the day of drop off. All private lessons, In home sessions, zoom sessions, client only boarding require payment in full, to reserve. All payment information will be held in the strictest confidence and used only with your approval to pay for pre-approved products and/or services from A Better Bond Dog Training.
Board and Train Program Payment, cancelation and reschedule policy - A deposit of HALF the total service cost and return of this completed contract are required reserve a training slot. - Deposits are nonrefundable but are transferable to another service, date or dog. - Final payment is due at intake, when the dog comes to ABBDT for training. - In the event of an extension of the program is in the best interest of the client's goals and is agreed upon by both parties, the extension payment is due to continue the program. Pricing for extension varies based upon need and will be discussed if necessary. - Rescheduling is possible when the client notifies ABBDT at least two weeks prior to start date. - Rescheduling will move your dogs training start date to the back of the wait list. - Rescheduling multiple times will require the balance due to be paid prior to being put back on the training calendar. - Pick up/Drop off service is subject to additional fees based on distance. - Any cancellation or rescheduling arising from ABBDT at no fault of the client will not incur any financial penalty. - Should a client be unable or unwilling to assume possession of their dog after training boarding costs of $50 per day will be in affect. Private Sessions (In Homes, FaceTime, Other) - Full payment of training service cost and the return of this completed contract are required to reserve a training slot. When buying packages, only half is required as a deposit with balance due at drop off. - Both payment and contract must be submitted no less than 78 hours prior to a scheduled session. - Payments are nonrefundable but are transferable to another service, date or dog. - Rescheduling is possible wherein the client notifies ABBDT at least 48 hours in advance except when otherwise agreed upon. - Failure to show up or attend a training session without prior notice will void the session time and monies. No shows will not be subject to rescheduling or transferred value. - Any cancellation or rescheduling arising from ABBDT at no fault of the client will not incur any financial penalty. Boarding - Boarding is a client only service. Only dogs who have been to ABBDT or a trusted associates facility will be boarded. Pre- payment is required to hold a boarding spot in order to be placed on the calendar. During peak booking times reservation cancelations will not be refunded. Travel - Distances over 30 miles will incur the standard mileage rate at that time both to and from the location. Additional travel fees may be accrued for trips over 90 miles. Late Payments You will be charged a $50 handling fee for returned checks. Pick up and drop off Pick ups must be scheduled prior to 6pm. Failure to pick up or meet by 6pm without prior agreement will result in a $50 charge. General statement A Better Bond Dog Training and all affiliated persons reserves the right to terminate service at any time, to any persons, for any reason. Issues such as harassment of any kind will not be tolerated towards trainers, clients or dogs. |
